- Market Summary – We include financial market performance data updated thru 8/31 for the major asset classes. Highlighting some of the drivers of performance and showing most major asset classes are down double digits year-to-date.
- Bear Market Update – We review the different types of bear markets and present data for how long they typically last, the magnitude of declines, and the average time it takes for markets to recover. We also discuss the 4 conditions generally needed for financial markets to recover from a bear market.
- Navigating Tough Markets- We recap the strategies investors can take to protect their portfolios in bear markets.
- Long-Term Value- We highlight some areas of the financial markets that represent good long-term value and investors should be overweighting in portfolios.
